We want to encourage more involvement in the XPRIZE

We need professional, quality educational content like apps, games and interactive stories, and we need a lot of diversity covering everything from literacy to rocket science. One of the biggest challenges in the current educational model is the one-size-fits-all education that is provided. The Idea that a single authority, publisher, company or individual can create content that works for everyone has proven not to work. To change this we want to encourage as many as we can and leverage the power of the crowd. We need content that applies to common learning needs, as well as the specialized content that will cater to children with unique learning needs.

We are creating a content framework using industry standards that many publishers are already using, so that any existing or new material can easily be included within our library and made available to these children. We recognize the size of the task, which is why we need your help and want to share the winnings with others that help, even if they are part of another team or not taking part at all in the XPRIZE

We will work with XPRIZE Foundation to make sure they are comfortable with the final plan, but first we want input?

We Want To Do Something Meaningful

That is why last year we started The Moonshot Education Project to develop a revolutionary way to deploy educational resources and technology to the poorest children in the world.

We want to provide an education to empower all children with the skills they need to change their communities, and the world for the better. We are proud to participate in the Global Learning XPRIZE, an organization that shares in our goal to change a child’s life through learning.

The XPRIZE has created an incentivized competition to create a tablet based solution that can empower children to autonomously learn basic reading, writing and numeracy skills. This will launch after a six-month team registration period. Each team will then have 18 months to develop their solutions. A panel of judges will select the top five teams to proceed in the competition, each receiving a $1 million award. After a further 18 month test a $10 million top prize will then be awarded to the team that develops a technology solution with the best results.
